Each of the three decks in the Capture set addresses a different kind of creative challenge:

We designed the Exploration deck for photographers who, like us, were stuck in a rut. The goal was to create prompts that pushed us far beyond our comfort zones.

We collaborated with other photographers who brought fresh perspectives and helped us polish the prompts into something truly unique. We also made it a point to go beyond the kind of ideas you’d find in existing products or could come up with just by brainstorming on your own.

The Inspiration deck came from a common problem we faced: not knowing what to photograph in the moment. Even when we were eager to shoot, we’d sometimes draw a blank on where to start. This deck was our solution.

Each card includes a mix of prompts — some more common, like photographing an everyday object, and some more unusual, like capturing fleeting moments in a crowd. Creation Deck: Unlocking Limitless Creativity

The Creation deck is perhaps the most innovative part of the Capture set. While the other decks give you specific prompts, the Creation deck is designed to help you generate your own ideas — endlessly.

To achieve this, we included two types of cards:

1. Context Cards, which explore pairs of photographic techniques or settings, like high vs. low aperture or black-and-white vs. color photography.
2. Abstract Cards, featuring inspiring words like “mysterious,” “navigate,” “old,” or “strong.”

The magic happens when you combine these two types of cards. For example, you might draw a Context card suggesting “black and white photography” and an Abstract card with the word “mysterious.” Together, these prompts could inspire a noir-style photoshoot in a dimly lit alleyway or a minimalist composition that plays with shadow and form.
